Which is better float or grid?

I learned “float” first when I started to learn CSS. It seemed to be OK and looked OK. I didn’t have any problems using float and I am still using float when making new sites.

When I came across the article about grid framework before, I was shocked and I thought this is much better than float structure. I didn’t have any chance to use it for my work, but this time I tried to apply to my new personal site here.

I found myself loving grid framework better than “float”. I used blueprint for my site here. It was easy because it was already done. Thanks for google, though.
I think I am making my own grid framework soon hoping I can give out to people as a freebie.

I am not saying “float” is bad. I think it is just only personal choice.
